Cla s H1 roy ln the autu 1 of l95C thirty eight nervous freshman entered the doors of P B S to begin their four years of education W elected Barbara Culver as our president, Martha Clouse, vice president, Don G11 son, secretwrv and Ruth Kolbe treasurer Nr Russell was our sponsor Doris Duke Harriet Gustln Duane Long and Ernest Mobley dropped out Jack Rover moved and Larrv Gordon 1o1ned us Our sophomore year arrived in no time and we were struggling with biology and geometry We elected as officers Gary Maddick, president, Larry Gordon vice president Connie Bross, secretary, and Ronnie Boyer, treasurer Nr Veach was our sponsor We had thirty six members in our class that year Agnes Flanarv and Jovce Nesselroad dropped out, and we gained Bob Miller The junior year, as always s a busy one Lewis Davis was elected president Don Gilson, vice ores1dent Willis Motsick secretary and Audrey Tam treasurer We worked hard our junior year, earning money for our banouet we picked un corn, sold Christmas cards and pencils and held a chili supper after a basketball game We were all well paid for our hard work when we saw the expressions on the faces of the seniors, as we opened the doors of the gvmnaslum to welcome them to the Junior Senior Banquet and Prom Our theme of the banquet was 'April in Paris ' It was given in honor of the seniors of '53 May ll Our sponsor wasMrs Pollei Thirty five students were in our class t at vear Bob White and Gail Pritchard entered P H S that tar Georgia McCurdv dropped out Our senior year finally arrived I know it 1ust d1dn't seem possible that soon we would walk out the doors of P F S with our high school days behind us o lead us in our final vear we elected Willis Motslck, president Bernard Thuelen vice presid nt and Lewis Davis secretary treasurer Ferguson and Nr Jenser were our class advisors We held a serlor car lval in October to raise funds for our Skip Dav to Chicago Our senior cl ss nlav, 'The Campbells are Comlnz' was given April 16 Our class flower vas the hrvsler Imperial Rose and our colors were red and white Baccalaureate was Mav 45 and Commencement was May 2' Don Gllson moved to Glidden to finish his last year and Bob White dropped out Thlrtv one of us had contirued until we were finally graduates we believe thit the experience gained and t e leadership developed will be of decided advantage in the years to co e We want to take this oprortunitv to thank our faculty advisors and teachers for their help and guidance in furthering our education for the past four years We would like to wi h the future seniors the best of luck, and hope they gair as much as we have O 7. at ', . gn , . . . . .V f , e L 1 , . - o ' - f t? , . . . - .
