Mr Um NGC, SENIOR CLASS HISTORY 1955-56 In the year 1943-'44 a group of enthusiastic youngsters started classes in September in the West wing of the Grade School under the careful guidance of Mrs. Kellus Turner. Those who started here in the first grade were: Bob Craig, Sharon Cummings, Ada Gaston, Peggy Hanson, Bobbie Lyles, Charles Miller, Dona Rorex, Carrol White, Millie McLaughlin, Wayne Mohon, Frank Simms, Carolyn Vance, Kathryn Williams, Charles Brown, Donald Cottingame, Monroe Obrecht, Jimmy Jack Grant, Diane Baily, Dorothy Crammer, Norma Ruth Branum, Jane Devin, Shelby Sellers, Kenneth McNight, Nettie Stafford, Bob Guyer, James Davidson, Robert Meaker, John Ed Metcalf, and Edwin Tines. ln our second year we had two teachers, Miss Mary Ewing, who is still teaching here and Miss Mc- Glasen. Joining the class were Z, T, Armstrong, Olan Barclay, Donnie Baxter, Kenneth Dover, Paul Edick, Harold Green, J. T. Milton, Eudell Mooney, Freddy Sears, Roy Smith, Ulinton White, Landon Fleming, Max Colvin, Alta Fern Green, Nancy Sue Hadges, Linda Skaggs, Erlene Smith, Wanda Keeler, Sarah Finchun, Arlene Taylor, Margaret Taler, and Gary Davidson. In the third grade we began to feel rather grown up as we could now read and write and do simple multiplication. Mrs. Lewellen was our teacher that year.
