A Q OFFICERS Prestdent Leland Mrller Vrce Presrdent Jultan Kempf Secretary Carol Burry Treasurer Mona Lou Cherry Student Counctl Ronald Rerchenbach Lynn Krohn Raymond Bogaert Ellen Dearth SENIOR CLASS HISTORY ln September 1952 thrrtylrttle freshman walked ttmrdly tnto the tvy halls of Pandora Gtlboa Hrgh School and meekly tr1ed to tmttate the confrdence of therr upperclassmen They elected Glorta Grtsmore as prestdent Carol Ann Burry as vlce pres1dent Arlene Warner secretary Mona Lou Cherry treasurer and Sondra Merrcle reporter The sophomores gave them a roustng 1n1t1at1on complete wrth ghost storres and laughs fat the ewpense of the fresh men The next year a lrttle older and a lrttle wlser they attarned the rank of sophomores and sat back to watch the next batch of freshmen suffer They even helped them along a ltttle wrth a paddlxng machlne a sheep shocker and a garbage bath at tntttatxon Thrs year they selected Pat Turner pres1dent Carol Ann Burry v1ce pres1dent Leland Mrller secretary and Mona Lou Cherry treasurer They were all thrtlled to order and recetve therr class rrngs rn the sprtng In the fall of 1954 after another wonderful vacatron they were agarn called back to actlve duty It seemed pretty nxce to be Juntors and the class was soon rn the swtng of thtngs Class electrons were held and Leland Mtller was elected pres1dent Carol Ann Burry vrce presrdent Sondra Merrcle secretary Glorra Grrsmore treasurer and Mary Jo Roseboom reporter The class play Beauty and the Beef was well recerved The class had partrctpants rn almost every act v1ty around old P G H S In May they treated the sentors to the annual Juntor Senlor Banquet at the Elk s Hall 1n Fxndlay what a mghtll ln the fall of 1955 they trudged back to the 1vy halls as semors at last' Now they were objects of envy basktng rn the llme ltght and getttng all the breaks They re elected Leland Mtller pres1dent and chose Julian Kempf vtce prestdent Carol Ann Burry secretary Mona Lou Cherry treasurer and Arlene Warner reporter The year flew by and as senrors they were rtght tn the mtddle of the whrrl The class play The Call of the Banshee was a huge success and as the year rolled to a close they started plannrng for the semor trrp and gradua tron Mona Lou Cherry was awarded valedrctortan honors and Ronald Retchenbach was salutatorran On May 5 they were feted by the junrors at 1 prom The theme was Harbor Ltghts and entertatnment lasted most of the mght May Day was May 18 and on May .20 they left for Washrngton D C and New York They returned trred but happy on May 25 Baccalaureate and Commencement exercrses were both held on Sunday May 27 Now that the tlme had come thev were all saddened by the thought of parttng but each of them knew rn thelr hearts that they would never forget berng members of the class of 16 OAK RESTAURANT Ottawa, Ohro I v 5 , A t t ' -' 1.11 VY ,Liu . f '+A K' . v O ' y N ,, , v , ' ,,.s,,...f- b V V- L sl' wi - , t K.
