CAM of 1946 Donna McCullough--President Dwight Steiner-Vice President Mark Diller-Secretary Donald Steiner-Treasurer Robert Steiner-Reporter Donna McCullough, Robert Steiner, Dwight Steiner, Mark Diller. PROPHECY Up in the A's is Amstutz Tall, lanky, and red We End him a bachelor and a dairyman Just as he always said. Next in the A's is Augsburger He is father, now, to seven Donna helps him on his farm To Clyde it seems like heaven. Al Basinger is an implement man He sells everything in his store A, Basinger and Sons is what the sign says Hanging over his door. Dick Basinger was in the service But now he is settled down He joined his dad in the greenhouse Right here in the old home town. Wally is still in a grocery store But it's a different one He owns and operates it And calls it Wally and Son, Neil was careful but not careful enough His wife still calls him honey We aren't sure who is the head of the house But at farming they save their money. Barbara and Anna were very successful They own a flourishing bakeshop Neatness and care are easy to see And cheerfulness rings to the housetop. Two of the girls in the First National Bank Appear as if they were related It looks to me like the Burkholder girls As employees they're regularly slated. If you would like to buy a new car Or your present one refuses to run Take it to Cook and Davies' Repairs To have your repair work done. Jeany did just what we thought she would She married a fellow named Russel She is just as cute as she ever was And he still has his chest and his muscle. Mark and Lois make a handsome pair They prospered down through the years Mark went into his father's trade They have seen happiness, toil, and tears. Elizabeth and Mary are right on the ball Have a business to take up their time They are the owners of a drycleaners shop I predict to success they will climb. Betty was given a place in our Congress The things she opposes she fights She is doing her best for the good of the people She is conscious of duties and right. June and Wanita have a worthy occupation They have chosen a good and worthwhile work They are both of them nurses and they scour Out places where germs and bacteria might lurk. Wally Geiger was as lucky as any His wife and his family fill him with joy He is a farmer mechanic and very good at it A motor to him is naught but a toy. Don Gratz is a soldier of fortune His colleague is Robert L. Steiner The things that they tell-the things they have seen Their experiences could hardly be Finer. Now we have two private secretaries From the class of 1946 They are Genevieve and Gloria Out of life they get their kicks. Ken Hauenstein is a farmer Who raised corn and oats and things He makes a living on God's good earth And lives life for the joy it brings. Dr. Dick Hilty is a scientist With test tubes, bottles, and tests On the lists of famous people He is one of the honored guests. Kate and Gladys are willing homemakers Who add to the communlty's good If there's something they could do for family or Friendship: if you ask them I'm sure that they would. Journalism has claimed one of our number It's Ellen with opinions all her own She has a column in a daily paper Where she makes her respected opinions known. Dwight Lefty Steiner followed his father He dips in the bucket and smears on the paint He does his work quite well And has never received a complaint. Don Steiner is just a common dirt farmer Who raised potatoes to keep up his farm He got him a good wife To keep him from harm. CContinued on page 153
