M QQMQW ff i -1 . -1 ss.: Sitting-Mr. Nelson Green, Principal. Standing: Mrs. Van Casler, Miss Esther Shafer. OFFICE STAFF THE heart of any school system is the office and the doctor who keeps the old ticker ticking is the principal. Mr. Nelson Green, Panama Cen- tral's principal has plenty of bpth patience and patients. The student body often seems to be taking a turn for the worse. Often Doc Green must administer a shot in the arm, a little gO0d friendly advice, or a kick in the posterior, figuratively speaking of course. To aid in taking care of the patient we have Mrs. Gertrude Casler, better known to many as Gert',. Her job is recording vital statistics of the patient, taking care of correspondence and making herself generally useful. Miss Ester Shafer has charge of the patient's financial affairs and here the income does not always correspond to the outgo much to her disgust. Miss Rita Cronin can be found every morning waiting patiently for the absentee list from the various rooms to come in so she can make out her vast list for the day. ' 12
