A busy year for the boys of the F.F.A. began with the earning of rnoney for their treasury by such projects asi gleaning corn fields, building hog houses and concrete hog troughs, and carrying out a chain gilt project. Two judging teams entered the state contest last lune and earned high honors. lirn Epley and Richard Mundell received individual ribbons for high score in their fields ot judging. The Pana FFA. was highly honored when last year's President, David Dorn, was selected for the Star Farrner award from section 19. Elected on the basis of high scholarship, leadership, ability, and activity in the supervised farm program at high school, he is now a candidate for the American Farmer degree which will be decided at the national convention in Kansas City Missouri, this fall, ln charge of the PFA. this year were: lim Epley, President, Bobby Bruns, Vice-President, Darrel Barrinaer, Secretary, Bob Lees, Treasurer, Richard Mune dell, Sentinel, Virgil Barringer, Reporter, and Mr, Staff, Sponsor. Organized at Pana in 1946, the Future Farmers of America continue practical preparation for the years ahead.
