Panhandle High School Press Association's newly-elected president, JoAnn Thompson, at dais, talks with other 1959 officers at Canyon. Talent Rewardecl April, 1958 April brought to the iuniors the opportunity to take National Merit Scholarship exams tor the first time. Pampa High School contrbuted Sl5OO to the Youth Center campaign as a result of the talent show. With the singing of Schola Alta Pampa, the Romans ended their traditional Latin banquet. A Cappella Choir and Harvester Band returned from the Inter- scholastic League contests with Sweepstakes awards. A sophomore trio made up of Zoy Coronis, Mary Sturgeon, and Shirley McCoy sing for the Youth Center talent show. Senior Kid Day found envious underclassmen watching the antics of kiddies on front lawn.

Mm ., Victory Month March, 1958 With the coming of March, seniors frolicked at their annual Mardi Gras, Harvester cagers went to state and returned victorious, and work began on talent show auditions and the All-School contest play. Linda Skewes became the first elected girl president of Pampa High School.
