PRACTICE FIELD A familiar place where the football, baseball and track teams of Pampa High put in many hard hours is the practice field, located west of Harvester Stadium. FOOTBALL STADIUM A new look at Harvester Stadium shows the absence of the end bleachers, which were dismantled as a re- sult of a clean-up campaign for the school last spring. Students are learning to use the school's projector, which offers a good opportunity for visual study. -,,,.-s. PHYSICS Physics students study the use of a machine which mixes light pat- terns. In this course the material world and its phenomena are studied. Everyday sit- uations revert back to a knowledge of physics, CHEMISTRY In the light of the chemical world future chemists study un- knowns. Many hundreds of tests have been conducted in this laboratoryg yet there has never been a serious accident. -pi' BIOLOGY The light of living things --biology, a course which deals with the study of living or- ganisms, is a pathway to nature's frontier, Students keep busy when they are enrolled in this branch of science, MUSIC Musical enjoyment comes not from talent, but from the natural instinct for listening pleasure, While the Harvester Band provides instrumental training, P, H, S, choirs offer an opportunity for vocal training. Here, choir students rehearse a number for one of the concerts given during the school year. SPEECH It was John C. Calhoun's speaking ability that made him famous, Many others have become famous because of an average understanding of speech. More students enroll in this course every year, because they realize the importance of correct speech in both business and social contacts. Here, students criticize extemporaneous speeches. 4 PHYSICAL EDUCATION Great strides have been made in developmg a good physical education department for P H S Base boys classes during the spring months JOURNALISM Journalism students read many newspapers before they f1n1sh this course Students learn the fundamentals of wrrtrng and edmng in preparauon for work on the school newspaper as well as study professronal newspapers to learn to evaluate the news they read ball is one of the favorite activities in 5' Q x H 4 IVJSFQXJ 'ff A mfmqf XV!
