COUNCIL l COMMITTEES Planning the year's assembly programs is the responsibility of the assembly committee, Pat Dial, Barbara Pharries, Cora Mann, Sheila Chisholm, co- chairman, Nelda Cooper, Pat Gorman, Co-chairman, and Franklin Snow, Marilyn Moore, Wadene Thomasson, Carol Roundtree Jeannine Leith Qseated, centerj, chairman, Ruth Adcock, and Cynthia Duncan plan for Thanksgiving homecoming. Daily devotionals in the moming before school and during the noon lunch periods, started this year, are planned by another new committee. Ted Swindle, Chairman, Ioan Robertson, Martha Gordon and Linda Steele read a book from which material for devotionals is obtained, When the party's over, the dirty work starts, Cleaning up after the All-School Carnival are Marvin Pickett, Jim Hopkins, Carroll Cole, Doyle Futch, Robert Lang- ford, Chairman, Jerry Don Hopkins and John Dial, 27

'A f 'S 00' Looking over the wide variety of toys collected at the Christmas Toy Dance are Ted Swindle, president, Cynthia Cantrell, secretary- treasurerg .Carolyn Miller, vice president, and Mrs. E, R Miller, sponsor, Selecting records for the J,R.C. Toy Dance are Mary Young, chaplain, and Wayne Smith, historian. Malcolm Brown, reporter, announces the next number, Not shown is Dorothy Gantz parliamentarian. During the Junior Red Cross assembly, Ted Swindle introduces the guest speaker, James Patterson, Red Cross field representative. Also on the stage are Mrs. F, W, Shorwell, Red Cross secretary, and Mrs. E, R, Miller, sponsor. As their spring project, homerooms were asked to contribute school supplies to equip a small school abroad. 1 .Q D UNIOR RED CROSS Providing a democratic process by which students may carry on its program, the Junior Red Cross helps students to feel the reality of membership, and to coordinate and unify J, R,C, projects in Pampa High, J,R, C, sponsors a Toy Dance before the Christmas holidays, when students bring one new toy as the price of admission. The toys are sent to the children's home in Amarillo. J, R,C, members act as marshals at school fire and disaster drills. At meetings they study first aid, home nursing, and blood types, I -, -ff ,
