The folklore play, in pantomine, is the journey of a typical American family from Camden to Trenton. New jerseyg the time is Sunday morning in 1915. The mother and father CCara Mae Lemm and Wfayne Fade f, with their two children tDoris jean Caldwell and Charles Ericksonj, are going to visit their daughter fBetty Plankj. The play is built around the mothers trying to bring the family up in the typical American way and to keep them under her wing as long as possible. Comedy is supplied by the remarks of the children as they ride along the highway, and by the swaying and jerking of them all as the car changes from one gear to another after the many stops. The secret of the play is its naturalness. Before and after the play Philip Silcott gives an introduction and a conclusion.
