This club helps the exchange student to become acquainted with the area and to easily adjust to the new culture. Quite a number of students from Palos Verdes have taken part in AFS, traveling to four continents. 'Traveling to another country is an experience that enriches ones outlook on different culturesf said Laurie Hall. Organizations 207

Consisting of committed distance , . . . . , runners, the 700 Mile Club requires Clubs fetaln ldentlty thf0l.lQh actlvltles each member to run a total of 700 miles over the summer. During the l final week, the runner must average 70 miles to complete the require- ments. To meet this demanding task it takes dedication and hard work, but it is worthwhile in the eyes of each member. It was a lot of hard work, but it was paid off by a good season, said Angie Snider. The Breakfast Club, one of the more unique clubs at Palos Verdes High, knows how to spend their Friday mornings. After a quick jog, the club then goes to a member's house to enjoy a magnificent feast of eggs and the traditional Froot Loops. Thou shall run a short jaunt, take a sip out of the silver goblet, and eat a bit of toast prior to Froot Loops and 700 Mile Club: Front Row: Brent Kimball, Angie Snider, Dyari Decker, Drama Sublets Skylor Pirsr Second - av - Row: David Scudamore, Bennie Cravatt, Masa Hasegawa, Bi l Reeves. ot Picture : Damian apouo a, gli min Cisaurse' thus Sald CO-exalted Traci Goodrich, Wesley Henderson, Kellie Hourigan, Tracy Leichter. u er ic urer.
