Drama Department l has a five-star year The Drama Department continued their success, winning numerous awards at festival-style competitions. The year started off on a high note with its production of Lady Audley's Secret. It continued with the spring musical, Sweeney Todd. Sara Thompson said, l was pleased with the team because they pulled together and deserved all of the honors they earned. The Rifle Squad, led by Captain Cinthia Wen and Co-captain Alicia Carosso, were also very successful, winning, for the first time in the history of the PV Marching Band, the Sweep- stakes Award at the Claremont Field Competition. They have always helped to boost the band's general effect score. The Rifles have increas- ingly been able to compete more and more every year, winning more awards as well. 0151 ain ell

Thespians, the honorary drama club, attended numerous fund raisers and theatrical productions. The clubis Presidential Committee said, We whole-heartedly agree with Albert Einstein when he said, 'Imagination is more important than knowledge. ' The members of the PV Stage Crew spent a lot of time and energy design- ing and constructing the sets for the fall and spring shows. Without the hard work of the stage crew, the excellent PVHS drama production would not be as successful.
