A, Q, fa-,-. ,er- :ef f . an The Tridette Drill Team received numerous first place awards this year and was awarded the specialties award at its most competitive parade competition. Under the leadership of Captains Dona Leonard, Kanae Shimizu, Noelle Weinman, and Jully Tsai, the team continued indoor competitions, performed in the halftime show of Superbowl XXI, and traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii, for competition during the spring. Commenting on the team, Dona Leonard said, A significant point is that we have one of the largest teams in the South Bay area, yet we still do so well. Club President Jenny Liu said, As a club, we have pertormed approximately 250 hours of service in free tutoring in all academic areas this year. Acquiring an honored group of students, the Califomia Scholarship Federation welcomed many new members from the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades.
