Great performances Orchesis continued its excellent dance history with talent and fun-loving spir- it . Under the leadership of the in- spirational officers, Erika Lucas and Peri Andrus, they had another suc- cessful year. The Palos Verdes Chorale performed at several prestigious places including the Norris Theater. Chorale per- formances were led by Ms. Goodwin. Orchestra, conducted by Bob Marino, performed throughout the year main- taining their high reputation as an advanced musical group. Singing her heart out, a Chorale member performs her best in front of a cheerful audience. Supplement-9

Spring sports excel in League and GIF The girls ' gymnastics team ended the year as Bay League champions. The Sea Kings also placed fifth in the CIF finals at CAL Poly Pomona. Competing in the individual finals were Debbie Berger and Barbara Eastwood. Berger placed eighth in the all around competition with a 34.5 while Eastwood finished fifth in vault with a 8.9. . The MVP again this year was Berger, while most improved went to Melissa Gee, and most inspirational went to, senior. Donna Buckley. Not only did Captains Kaysie Choate and Kia Moore lead both the Junior Varsity and Varsity girls ' track team to an undefeated season, but they also helped both teams earn the title of Bay League Champions. Coach Kelly stated proudly, It was a very successful season, it has been at least 10 years since both of the girls ' learns have achieved the Bay League title. ' ' Great effort and succes were put in by Junior Varsity MVP Heather Rafuse and Varsity MVP ' s Stephanie Poncher and Janet Reese Marcie Blue and Silvana Schiappa, who both received the most inspirational award, were also of much assistance throughout the season. Not only did the girls put out outstanding individual performances, but they also showed outstanding team performances as well, said Coach Flagler. Having an excellent season and showing great running skills, Janet Reese, also won the award for the most improved dNTriUING C .ri III kill The Boys ' golf team had high expectations for a league championship, but unfortunately they finished in 2nd place behind Santa Monica. The team was lead by the Co-MVP ' s, Juniors James Lee, and Joe Goswitz, along with Senior Nominee Scott Widdifield. Freshman Brad Hancy received Most Improved. Lee said, Things started out slowly, but later in the year, we grouped together and finished strongly as a team. lOSupplement
