Youth marches to promote education Youth on Parade is an annual event that opens the eyes of many. The main purpose was to inform the community of the numerous youth programs on the peninsula. Marching bands and pep squads from PVHS, RHHS, and Miraleste were included in the parade. PVHS ' s theme was A Flash of Brillance and members of the student body were appropriately dressed in trenchcoats and dark glasses. It was certainly a day of spirit Danny Mishell and Dairyl Stolz flash the Sea King spirit to an enthusiastic crowd of spectators and eXCltement. ■a ' :gMMM Drill Team marches with precision down the parade route Members of the Tall Flags show off their spirit by holding the school ' s sign with pride. While the Christmas spirit was high in PV, an unforgettable journey was made to Harlan Shoemaker. Drill Team, Orchestra, Pep Squad, and assorted student body were among those who attended. They entertained and enlightened the day for several physically and mentally handicapped children. Acts included, The Toy Soldier, The Three Pigs, and Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer. The wonderful experience was re- warding to PV students as well as the Harlan Shoemaker kids. Members of the PVHS Jazz Band blow their hearts out in an excellent musical performance. PV students enlighten and entertain Dreena Peeke flashes her pearly whites during a Drill A group of assorted student body wait patiently to perform for the Harlan Shoemaker kids Team act. Shoemaker students and visitors enjoy the variety of productions at the annual PV High Christmas play. 32-Activities

Thanks to the amazing basketball instincts of Gil Eberhard, son Steve, and Hoppy Keller, the faculty rolled to another victory in the annual Donkey Basketball Game, 50-34. The students, led by Pat Watson ' s 12 points, did not quite attain the heights they had aimed for, inspite of the strong performances of Dave Morris, Dave Neilan, and Jerrell Stark. The girl ' s half of the team was led by Karen Breslau, who scored a personal as well as team high of 2 points, with the help of teammates Nan Williams, Chrissy Giorgio, Diana Hoff, and Johanna Staple. Senior Daryn Holland remarked, Although we lost, the game was a lot of fun. That ' s about all it was. The faculty lineup consisted of many strange and interesting looking teachers whose age and experience overcame the valiant efforts of both the student teams. Despite an outstanding effort, students lose again Jen-el Stark, Steve Eberhard. and Scott Jordan scramble madly to get to the ball first.
