While the Christmas spirit was high in PV, an unforgettable journey was made to Harlan Shoemaker. Drill Team, Orchestra, Pep Squad, and assorted student body were among those who attended. They entertained and enlightened the day for several physically and mentally handicapped children. Acts included, The Toy Soldier, The Three Pigs, and Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer. The wonderful experience was re- warding to PV students as well as the Harlan Shoemaker kids. Members of the PVHS Jazz Band blow their hearts out in an excellent musical performance. PV students enlighten and entertain Dreena Peeke flashes her pearly whites during a Drill A group of assorted student body wait patiently to perform for the Harlan Shoemaker kids Team act. Shoemaker students and visitors enjoy the variety of productions at the annual PV High Christmas play. 32-Activities

' Godspeir casts a spell on audience Eric Kunzelman gives Amy Ferrera a lesson in life in a scene from the ' Prodigal Son. ' Godspell, PV High ' s first fall musical in eleven years, entertained audiences with a fine performance. Although at- tendance was not huge, the play still received great reviews. Godspell exhibited the morals and the ideals of Christianity with an enthus- iastic cast to support it. The show dis- played talented performers with Adam Horn and Tim Hurley being the most dominant of the group. As us- ual, the choreography of Godspell was excellent as most of the PV High ' s musicals have been. At the hands of director Jim Bell and choreographer Michael Rooney, the ' show ran very smoothly. During tfie trial of Jesus, thie judges remain straight-faced and serious. Jesus(Adam Horn) preaches loudly to his followers Activities-31

Youth marches to promote education Youth on Parade is an annual event that opens the eyes of many. The main purpose was to inform the community of the numerous youth programs on the peninsula. Marching bands and pep squads from PVHS, RHHS, and Miraleste were included in the parade. PVHS ' s theme was A Flash of Brillance and members of the student body were appropriately dressed in trenchcoats and dark glasses. It was certainly a day of spirit Danny Mishell and Dairyl Stolz flash the Sea King spirit to an enthusiastic crowd of spectators and eXCltement. ■a ' :gMMM Drill Team marches with precision down the parade route Members of the Tall Flags show off their spirit by holding the school ' s sign with pride. Dressed as flashers, Cncket Mulkey. Greg Hardy, and Kia Moore carry the impressive Palos Verdes banner. Activities-33
