X ' - A Students have weekend of hard work and fun play The annual Leadership camp, held at the JCA camp near Big Bear was very successful. Much was ac- complished throughout the weekend. The first day was spent entirely on the planning of the 1984 Homecoming activities. The second day, the students were split into groups to discuss various topics including school improve- ment and Creative Thought Day. Students were also given an opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy the j,,, Tsao, Greg Hardy, and Christine Kim take a break from work and soak up the mountain air. mountain sun . ASB President Walter Burkley demonstrates his author itative power at Leadership camp. One of the biggest highlights of the weekend was a beautifully decorated cake for the occasion. School gets together for a huge spirit-filled bonfire Brought back after a long absence, the traditional bonfire was held on the night before Homecoming day. According to ASB President Walter Burkley, It was a huge success. Everyone was pleased and it showed school involvement by everybody. The event was held on the football field with extreme safety precautions in mind. The people in the houses bordering the school were warned of the occurance. Because the tremendous outcome, a bonfire for next year is very likely. The roaring flames of the bonfire reached its peak very fast to nobodys surprise SlIiuoI spirit and inv.ji ' 1 1: .1:! were very large factors on bonfire night. Enormous crowds of people and great times gaue a precedent for a bonfire next year Activities-25
