Coached by Joe Kelly and Rod Flagler, the Girls ' Varsity Cross Country team had an outstanding season finishing first in Bay League. Excellent performances by Kirsten O ' Hara, Stacey O ' Hara, and Chris Rowley contributed to the second place finish in CIF. Also undefeated in Bay League competition, the Girls ' JV team had a perfect record of 7-0. Some promising runners include Meghan Simmons and Terry Wilson. Coach Flagler commented, Few other schools are as fortunate to have the wealth and depth of talent as we have on our Girls ' Varsity and JV teams. PV Varsity sweeps Rolling Hills in 1983-84 se ason Finishing with a record of 11-3 in Bay League this year, the Boys ' Varsity basketball team kept up their winning tradition, making it into the CIF playoffs once again. Under the strong leadership of Coach John Mihaljevich and co-captains Greg Hart and John Koyama, the team rolled to victories over every league opponent except Santa Monica, who went undefeated in Bay League. The high points of the season came with two overtime victories over arch- rival Rolling Hills. The Junior Varsity team also had an impressive season, under the fine coaching of Mike Boyd and the leadership of key players Scott Recknor, GM Broucek, and Brian Dwyer.
