Black Comed lives up to its name Drama Ill ' s production of Black Comedy is not the typical Drama III play to be sure. ' ' Black Comedy is about a man named Brindsley Miller (Dan Deluce) and his fiance Carol Melkett (Beth Hurley). The couple try to sell an art collection during a power failure. To convey this to the audience Black Comedy uses an interesting technique. When the power is supposed to be out, the lights on the stage are on, and vice-versa. During all this confusion, Carol ' s father, Col. Melkett (Ed Gorsuch) , shows up to check out on the future husband of his daughter. To complicate things futher, an old fling of Brindsley ' s shows up.Clea (Tina Doley) is loud and obnoxious and does everything in her power to break up the marrige. GETTING READY TO SQUIRT BRINDSLEY. TRYING DESPERATELY NOT TO SPILL THE PUNCH, Jon Weigly pours for a very patient and thirsty Jeanie Ludwa. Maria Hart reigns as queen in ' 82 Unlike many previous years, this year ' s Homecoming Formal showed a profit. The ASB managed to keep $100 in the black. One reason for the success of the formal was the sale of most of the bids. The princesses were Heidi Hilton, Paula Demerjian, Gretchen Price, and Heidi Semler, with Maria Hart reigning as queen. WITH SHOES OFF, Cindy Grant does the latest step with Glen Brown. USING SCINTILLATING CONVERSATION, Melanie Hudson and Jeanne Decker stimulate their dates with funny jokes. LOOKING DAZED, Jeannell Steiner, Greg Denham, Dennis Bourdo, Candy Bear, Joanna Glass and Mark Brown try, as best they can, to smile for the camera.
