New district cuts trimmed the physical education staff Madelyn Bilkey Ken Russell After losing three teachers from last year ' s physical education staff, this year ' s staff showed a great perfor- mance. Freshman and sophomores were the only students required to take Physical Education. The students enjoyed various sports including football, water polo, tennis, raquetball, soccer, gymnastics, and many others. Many of the teachers were teaching other subjects as well as PE, such as history, science, and business. Ron Roush New teacher adds to art department A new addition to the Art Depar- tment, Ron Roush, taught Beginning Ceramics and Ceramics 1,2, and 3. Crafts was one course among many offered in art. Drawing and Painting, Ceramics, and Commercial Arts showed the varying degrees of interest students had in art. Intermediate and advanced courses in these subjects were also taught.
