PV ' s Soph Football Team ended the year winning the Bay League Title with a League record of 5-0, with an overall record of 8-2. The Frosh team, meanwhile, had a disappointing season, finishing 0-6-2. The Sophomore team had a well- balanced running and passing attack with a very aggressive defense. Their outstanding games, according to Pat Lindsay, were the wins over RH, 51-7, and North, 39-16. Overall, Quarterback Mike Hart was the team ' s outstanding performer. The Freshman team, however, had problems getting it all together. A major setback occured midway through the season, when Quarterback Jeff Brown suffered a knee injury. The toughest game for the Frosh team was against Bishop Montgomery, where they lost a heartbreaker 21-20 in the final minutes. The team ' s MVP Award went to running back Bill Mashey. SOPHOMORE SEA KING brings down the West High quarterback singlehandedly. 208Football

PV polo acquires two new coaches Although the Varsity water polo team had a disappointing season, the new coaches, Kermit Olson and Kevin Williams, felt that the team progressed throughout the fall season.
