Music groups light up school activities For less experienced players this year, Concert Band provided a learning experience. This year a very successful festival was held at Long Beach City College. Wind Ensemble membership is determined by audition. They also performed in their annual festival. The most advanced musical group is orchestra. Orchestra performed at school twice this year, at Christmas and Spring musicals. This year the highlight of their four festivals was one held at St. Miguel High School in San Diego. Renaissance is another select group. They wear colorful costumes and sing music from the Renaissance period. The group performed at school concerts as well as off-campus engagements. Honor Music Students: Deanna Bebb, Greg Lombardi, Bob Remstein, Kathy Linehan Bands end seasons with gleeful notes Pep Band peformed wonderfully at the basketball and football games. Spectators and players alike were provided with great music and school spirit. With Don Marino as Pep Band advisor, this proved to be a very good year. Four Honor Music Students were chosing this year from Palos Verdes Each year, 100 music students are chosen from throughout Southern California for this event. It is a great honor for these students because they played at the Music Center, El Camino College, and other fine schools throughout California.
