Pro- expenses for a speech meet in El Paso on Feb. 24. Speakeasys was The new name for The Tifan Forensics Service League. The purpose of Speakeasys was To raise money in order To supporT Their many acTiviTies. There were no officers in Speakeasys, bUT insTead, Three commiTTees headed The club. These were The general busi- ness, finance and preparaTion of Tapes commiTTees. TransporTaTion and accommodaTions To and from speech and debaTe meeTs were provided for by The Speakeasys. ln order To promoTe beTTer undersTand- ing and appreciaTion of fine liTeraTure, Speakeasys prepared audio Tapes, au- dio-video Tapes and reader's TheaTers for English, American problems and American hisTory classes. Awards were presenTed To Those who Took parT in forensic TournamenTs and school drama producfions by The club. Members of the Titan Litewriters observed entries in the annual Spring Contest. All photography students were eligible to enter the club-sponsored event. Martin, secretary. Stage Crew, Litewriters Qperated Equipment Stage Crew took care of lights, sound, stage props and curtains for all school productions and assemblies held in the auditorium. Members were trained by the more advanced students of the club at meet- ings and work sessions.
