ADLVI NIS TRA TION Sfrgggfff Ed Cardwell, Head Administrator B.A. in German from indiana University. M.A. in Greek from Indiana Christian University. MS. in Education Administration from indiana University. Masters of Divinity in Theology from Indiana Christian University. Desiring to see students succeed in their goals and obtain all God has for them, Ephesians 1: 18 81 19 clearly states our administrative goal. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance is the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe . . The head administrator gives leadership to develop a school that is genuinely Christ-centered in its totality. He assists in the selection of well-qualified Christian faculty members and quality Christian curriculum. The head administrator also interviews new students and parents, determining if the school will be able to meet the needs of each applicant. Finally, the head administrator is responsible for the school calendar, the daily schedule and the extra-curricular activities which are directed to equip and unite the student body for the Lord's glory. . And He gave some . . . forthe equipping of the saints for the work of service to the building up of the body of Christ. fEph. 42111 Chuck Winkler, Athletics Director ll-Tl From the Word fCol. 3:17 St 1 Cor. 10:31t we know that we are to glorify God in whatever we do. This is the purpose and intent of our athletic program. How do we accomplish this objective? First, we must realize that we are not playing for personal glory or other selfish reasons. We must ask the Lord continually to help us use athletics as a means to bring honor to Him. Next, we realize that we must do our best. God expects us, as His children, to strive to do our best in whatever we do. He expects sacrifices that are essential to excel in each endeavor we attempt. We want to strive to always encourage another. Corrections should be made by the Coaches and their purpose should be only for the improvement of the individual. Winning is important, but not the most important thing. The desire to win fairly is very important. We realize we will not win every athletic contest but we desire to play as though we will win. We want to strive to be winners in all areas of life, not just athletics. Athletics is very insignificant when compared to the task the Lord has given us. And that is to do all to the praise of His glory. Beth Ftyan, Counselor The counseling program at Palo Verde Christian School is based on the Word of God. We believe that a wise man is he who listens to counsel. tProv. 12:15j. First of all, students are able to receive career and college counseling. Students are advised on college and career plans appropriate to their individual needs and interests. Each year college representatives from various Christian and secular colleges throughout the Southwest are invited to our school to provide informative seminars for our Junior and Senior students. Assistance is available to students in filling out applications for admissions and seeking sources of financial aid. Career planning and guidance is also provided for students who want to find full time work after high school. Standardized testing on the Secondary level is scheduled. Examples of test given are the Stanford Achievement Test, PSATXNMSQT Test, ATMA-state Math competition and ACT-SAT Tests. ln addition, testing and special services through Tucson School District 41 are provided for the students with special needs. Finally, all academic records, GPA averages and class ranks are maintained and computed by the school counselor. Students may come in and check on these records at any time or receive personal or spiritual counsel based on God's word. . . . But with those who receive counsel is wisdom. iProv. 13: 1Oi The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good con- science and a sincere faith. 1 Tim. 1:5 NIV 4 Administration
