Text from Pages 1 - 222 of the 1975 volume:

There are friends who pass like ships in the night. Who meet for a moment, then sail out of sight. With never a backward glare of regret - friends we know briefly then quickly forget .. There are other friends who sail together Through quiet waters and stormy weather. Helping each other through joy and through strife - And they are the kind who give meaning to life I -Mary Dawson Hughes r CONTENTS Introduction 6 Class of '77 16 Fall Sports 30 Fall Play Class of '76 The Senate bill lowered the blood donors minimum age requirement from 18 to 17, thus con- stituting a reason for a high school blood drive. The American Red Cross-Stanford University Blood Center has de- veloped high school blood donor groups in eight local high schools. Palo Alto is one such group and the Key and S Clubs have taken it upon themselves to coor- dirmr anH HinvrpQlv states that students should allot one and a half hours for each ses- sion. Ms. Zimmerman also said that if Paly can pro- duce 200 donors, blood coverage in the case of an emergency will be ex- tended to all high school students, their siblings, parents, grandparents, and teachers in the Paly school district. Paul Harvey, coordin- ator for the Key Club, as- sures students that it is a simple matter to remove blood, with no pain in- volved. Mr. Harvey also emphasised that the blood from one student will help four needy blood patients sion of the plot. However, it must be taken into con- sider! Jon the difficulty in speaking Elizabethan Eng- lish. 1 must admit that the lines were read smoothly and with feeling. My highest compliments go to the costume designer, Barbara Weis, who pro- vided the audience with a dazzling array of color and frighteningly authentic outfits, which was par- ticularly evident with the saloon girls. The play was arioteous confusion of misguided love affairs and mistaken identities. Of course, all these problems were cleared up in time for a happy ending.
