The climax of +he season was fhe crushing vic+ory over Sequoia, I5-4. They smo+hered +he powerful S+anford and Frosh ieam 7-2 in fhe second of a 'lwo game series, fhe 'Firs+ of which was los+, IO-9, in an overlime period. The +eam landed a 'rop +he P. A. L. far ahead of fheir nearesl' compe+i+or, as +hey had for several previous years. To 'lop if all, fhe Viking waler polisfs placed +he oufsfanding number of five, ou+ of a possible seven men, in +he all-P. A. L. squad. Added fo lhe Norse's bad luck was +heir loss of Dave Tichenal in mid-season, buf Moniy Pfyl and Hopkins carried on 'I'he coaching iob. The Se- quoia game, a vic'rory which would have made ihe season a success, was dropped by one run in fhe las'I' inning on a doubled decision by 1'he umpire. The regular line-up consisfed of ca+cher, Jim Mor- risroeg firsf base, Bill GarreH and Howard Trainer: +l1ird base, Eddy Peferson and Carroll Pugh, ou?- field, Bill Pierson, George Fuchs, Lodovico Gamba, Emmel' Garrie+y, and Alyn Mason.
