dm? LOSES CI IILDREN Poor Mrs. Norman Harrison, formerly Jeanie Bcgley had to part with her IO child- ren. They are being put in an orphanage, be- cause she is unable to support them. Her hus- band deserted her last week. If anyone would like to adopt one, see Miss Wanda Kinsey, head nurse at the orphanage. DIVORCEE Mrs. Orville Mahsmann, has taken her maiden name, Eleanor Schade, since her re- cent divorce from Mr. Mahsmann. Miss Shade sued Mr. lX'Iabsmann for divorce on the charges of cruelty of dumb animals. INI IERITS MILLIONS Miss Margie Million inherited IO million dollars from a late aunt. When asked what she would do with it, she replied that she would be so old when lack Peacocke, her fi- ance gets out of college, that he'll be too old to work, so she will build them a home to live in in their later years. WINS CAR .lack McLeod won a new car on a radio quiz program. This will really come in handy since he wrecked his Crosley last week. OLD SCHOOLMATE SEEN IN TAVERN If anyone wants to see their old schoolmate Bob Powell they won't have to look very far, for it seems hes always in the same place-- Buckmans. Bob just can't stay away. Even when his wife. Geraldine Powell goes in and drags him out. he's back within an hour. It looks like he would get out and work a little if not for himself, but for his wife and four- teen little ones. OUTSTANDING SCIENTIST Mr. Robert Bross has been chosen as the outstanding scientist of the year. He has made many inventions and discoveries and deserves great medals. His partner, Lyndel Gillespie, is also well known in the field of science. They received honors at a dinner given for them in the Astoria Hotel last night. Warren Buck- walter the chief chef served the meal. LEAVING FOR HAWAII Miss Catherine Bode, a famous social work- er is leaving for Hawaii on a vacation. She will spend a three months vacation there rest- ing. She reports that she has been working too hard and needs rest. We hope she has a nice trip and will soon be back on the job. QUEEN FOR A DAY Lucky Norma Herren was chosen Queen for a Day, and when she was asked what she wanted she said she wanted them to find her a husband. It seems he ran away a few years ago, and she hasn't seen him since. If anyone knows of the whereabouts of Raymond Hoerr, please notify Mrs. Hoerr. MARRIES BOSS Miss Barbara Ragar was married to her boss Mr. Charles Ilochne in a quiet ceremony last week. Miss Ragar was Mr. Iloehnels pri- vate seeretary for many years. This was a surprise to everyone, and was a great shock to the man she was engaged to, Vernon Bode. QUEEN OF ORANGES An the throne of the orange festival sits Miss lane Yarbrough, recently chosen queen. She was chosen from a group of 50 girls. Her princesses were Misses Patsy Stratton and Ann Shulrs. . MAKES BIG MONEY Robert Eugene Cary, famous trumpet play-- er in New York will gladly accept any dona- tions as it seems he is in great poverty since marrying Carlene Frankenback. Ile is play- ing his trumpet in front of Macy's department store, if you care to contribute. SCANDAL IN THE KITCHEN In the famous Eisenberg Dude Ranch, Everett Minch was caught stealing food from the kitchen, for his seven children. Patty Party, Miss Eisenberg's cook, was going to the kitchen when she saw Minch in the ice box taking out their roast for their Annual Dude Ranch Festival Dinner. Minch is now being served bread and water instead of the roast he thought he was going to eat.
