I will not criticize. I refuse to waste my valuable time. Today is one thing in which I know I am equal with others - time. All of us draw the same salary in second , minutes and hours. I am going to spend my time making things happen. Today I am determined to study and improve myself . for tomorrow I may be wanted and I must not be found lacking. Today I am determined to do things I should do. I am firmly determined to stop doing the things I should not do. May I begin by doing and not wasting my time. In one week I will be miles beyond the person I am today. Today I will not imagine what I could do if things were different, they are not different. I will make success with what material I have. The Volleyball season was one of many accomplishments and heartbreaks as the girls had their best season ever. The Varsity won three tournaments they participated in: The Syracuse Invi- tational, the Mudecas Class B Tournament and the Galaxy Conference Tournament, and they placed 2nd in the District Tournament. With hard work, determination and teamwork, the girls took the challenges of winning and turned it into the accom- plishment of winning. The girls on the Volleyball team and their coach are proud of their winning sea- son. Coach Svoboda All-Conference Team: Karen Ellis i W The basketball season was very much like a roller coaster ride with many ups and downs. It began on a high with three straight victories before the first low, a loss to Humboldt at the Christmas break. On return from vacation the first opponent was Wilbur, then the number two rated team in the state. A super effort had the Panthers playing the Wil- bur team even up to the last minute, then eventually losing by 60 to 52. In the Mudecas tourney, two victories and the third place trophy were brought back to Palmyra . One of the lowest points came with a 90 to 58 loss in the Adams pit. A brilliant victory came with a 65 to 63 win over another state-rated team, Stella Southeast. This high spot was fol- lowed by three straight losses. The Panthers received tremendous team play and great leadership through the District in order to upset Stella Southeast and came back to win over Humboldt in overtime. The season ended with a loss to the eventual State Champions, Louisville. The record for 1974-75 was 13 wins, 9 losses: and of the losses, 6 of them were to rated teams. - Coach Horstman.
