A. Dewitt Haroujjf A dminislrative Head Princzpal Russell Hicks was the high school principal for the 1967-68 school year. Added to his many responsibilities as principal, Mr. Hicks taught driver's education to the soph- omores and freshmen, and coached basket- ball. F'ARlVlER'S CO-OP COMPANY PALMYRA 983-5320 The yearbook is a document published from one year to the next, recording activities of major importance to you as students. It is a chronicle which you can turn to five, ten, fifteen, or twenty years from now and reflect on these activities with sadness or fondness, depending a great deal on the emotion they bring to mind. The yearbook is an important document in another aspect as it marks a major stone in life, particularly for the seniors. This milestone, or stepping off place, for some will mean college, for others marriage, and for still others a job which will involve their time and energy for the rest of their lives. It is here that I challenge you to do the very best you are capable of doing and to always hold your head high. You have this responsibility, to yourself, your family, your community and your school, and if you need to reflect, open your annual to page-- and remember all the promises you made then. 3

DEDICA T10 fr-'gf f r 1-fe-7-ff , ,tt ME A A KV .. , Mrs. Lee Gray One of the most impressive things about high school days is the teachers. Their devotion to their work and their willingness to make good citizens out of their students have made an im- pression of some kind on everyone of us. We feel that Mrs. Gray is an excellent example of :1 dedicated teacher. She has served on the P. H. S. faculty in the Business Education Department and as the year- book and newspaper advisor for two years. In this relatively short time, our school :ind stu- dent body has benefited greatly from her efforts to make this a place of better education. Therefore, as a token of our appreciation of her whose loyalty and interest are ours, whose friendship is genuine, whose patience is end- less, whose humor is loved, and whose service and loyalty are :in inspiration, we dedicate this our 1968 annual.
