LEADERS GARAGE 3'6 BENNET 782-2405 , The 1967 football season was one of which the Panthers could be proud. The team did not finish the season with a winning record, but it did finish as a team that had reached football maturity. The Panthers had their prob- lems against Sterling, Talmage, Barneston and Elm- wood, but three of these four teams were ranked among the better football teams in the state. Although the team lost to these ball clubs and also to Murdock and Brock, it was given healing -wotmd comments by coaches who complimented the team as having one of the better de- fensive ball clubs they had played during the season. ' ,i'X v Several men won special recognition for outstanding play Offensive Team: Defensive Team: Rick Royal, Offensive I-Ialf Back Rick Nelson, Defensive End Bill Genuchi, Offensive End Dave Lovercheck, Defensive Linebacker Bruce Sturdy, Defensive Back Steve Randall, received honorable mention on both offensive and defensive teams for guard. These men did a tremendous job in leading the ball team, however, they were given much assistance by the remaining men on the squad and by the fans who supported the team throughout the season.
