BuIldog's Gridiron Record 3-10 . . . Cooper HEAD FOOTBALL CAOCH, SAM HARRISON, with assistant coaches, Iohn Fuller and Tom Harper, fielded the first eleven-man football team in district competition in Palmer High,School in over seventeen years. Season ended with a 3-'7 district record with Louis Brown and Henry Cooper making the second team all-district. AVV V .M 'm 1 fbt 1523- s nu g ' ' A A COACHING TEAM COMPRISED OF HARRISON, FULLER AND HARPER fielded an eager group of BULLDOGS in the opener against COOLIDGE where Palmer won 12-8. CECIL CARTER, above, takes ball from quarterback Tuck as right halfback Louis Brown moves across backfield on decoy dive play against Riesel, district champions on new BULLDOG FIELD at Palmer. OFFENSIVE PLAYERS: Smith, Arnold, Harper, and C. Harper take a breather as COOLIDGE team rallies to within 4 points of tieing game, but final gun saw BULLDOGS C victorious 12-8. Euell Autrey, driver, loads equipment and team at DOG HOUSE entrance for MIL- DRED game won by BULLDOGS 26-15. Top right the student body cheers the team as time nears for first district game against FROST, and the BLACK AND GOLD took another game, 18-6. Fans find a warm blanket as winter's chill and BYNUM were too much for the BULLDOGS, first defeat of season 22-14. B-Team cheerleaders, Thelma Jordan and Nancy Stacks, hold the clothesline for the hanging out of wash boosting spirits for the encounter against Coolidge. Head Cheerleader, SUSAN JOHNSON, with SARA STACKS, SUSAN SMITH, SCOTTIE BAKER, and LOUANNE NORRIS check out the bus going to Scurry-Rosser . . . BULLDOG VICTORY 60-50.
