August 21, 1973 . . . Orientation Over . . . Plans In-service over, coffee cups were filled, and an indoctrinated faculty readied another school year . . . all around town they'd been, enu- merating, planning, exchanging ideas, meeting with other schools, to Austin for a week . . . then the first bell put the wheels into motion on August 21, 1972. ,Students had worked hard too, Patti Holleman, Susan Smith, Elbert Smith, Julius Simmons, and Sara Stacks painted to get a place for staff to meet.
