The Total Child Emerges! ANNA L. DAVIS picks up the harmonious blending of notes as her music students sound out a perfect pitch in the cultural enrichment courses. ELBERT SMITH as Bruiser tries to carry a fainting CINDY HOWARD in a drama presen- tation, THE PHANTOM STRIKES AGAIN. EVELYN KNIZE, Speech Therapist, carefully learns who hears, sees, and expresses all he is capable of doing at school. When the plan was added up, the total child came forth. A11 the specialities of our school life made I the ordinary more meaningful and enjoyable. Special Education through the West Ellis County Cooperative made it possible for our school to have Language Learning Disabilities, Early Childhood, Speech Therapist, and the professional services of gifted personnel from Educational Service Center serving our district. New ways of approaching time- worn educational ideas .

Where The Action ls! VOCATIONAL EDUCATION has two major depart- ments in our school, both male and female students may avail themselves of opportunities offered. This is where doing is the in thing! Left, SUSAN JOHNSON leads in a formal ceremony to teach the proper respect to our national emblem, while RUBY BROWN and PAT DAVIS instructs the proper handling of the flag. Flag is lowered by CINDY HOWARD , Pat Davis, Ruby Brown and Susan Johnson. Principal John Fuller got the royal treatment of F.H.A. 's AMY PORCH and Valerie Slade at formal tea honoring Faculty. F.H.A. and vocational homemaking classes touched many areas of learning. F .F .A. offered many phases of doing while learning. Upper left, Kirby Harper gets calf ready for judging in project show held at Ennis. MORRIS BAKER checks out his prize-winning chickens at show. JULIUS SIMMONS looks anxious, left, as judge views his project calf at rural farm show . . . and MRS. LORENE KIRKPA- TRICK, school counselor, gets a cup of tea from Billy Hill at F .H .A . Tea where the consumer education class hosted for one hour. Louis Brown did the honors at tea table.
