Language Of All Our Senses WN6 , FJ MRS. VICKIE JOHN- SON feels the poetic beauty in her interpretation of verses in English class. Communicat- ing to express her thoughts, Mrs. John- son gives a visual picture of what the authors say to us in lpoetry. MRS. REBECCA BAI- LIEY stresses the grammar of our lan- guage, and with her training, we con- struct our wording more beautifully and communicate with enthusiasm. MRS. PHYLLIS LA- MARQUE helps us to express ourselves with picture words that give vents to our tal- ents and make -us feel we can reach out in communica- tion. MRS. LEPHA OATES quietly helps us to comprehend the oral word which gives us a new dimension of understanding and expressing ourselves well. N 1' 't . 15

Communication ls The R. G. PERRYMAN, our librarian, gives us added interests in collected works in our research department. He is assigned Communicating with others in our society is of vital importance. Through the visual perception and under- standing of the printed word, we gain better skills to use in the processes of communication. MRS. PATSY I. ' SMITH, LLD aide, works through the Resource Room with middle and elementary students who have difficul- ties in their learning processes. Funded by the West Ellis County Cooperative, Special Education affords many insights into the ways of reaching children to help them achieve their potential in school. to our campus by agreement with other schools in our county on a cooperative basis. Two libraries are located on our campus.

We learn to understand and appreci- ate our own and other cultures in studying the political, social and economic foundations of the past, and their relationship to our present society. From democratic rules, MRS. MONICA COX gets the views of Greg Davis, yearbook editor, rela- tive to the student voting. Small youngsters put the rules into action as they cast their votes with Harold Markham, Sondra,Smith, and Sara Stacks helping. MRS. W. C. GLEE- SON meets with juniors and seniors to study in-depth the cultures of old societies, and how our modern world relies on a mutual understanding of governmental processes in an effort to live peaceably on this earth.
