CERAMICS Ceramics is a field in which students learn to express their feelings through clay and glass. It is an activity which teaches the hands to be creative and imaginative. Under the direction of Mrs. Kort, this has become a popular and rewarding course.

ART In Art Class, the students have a chance to express themselves freely. Whether in oil or watercolors they have learned to show their creative senses. Under the guidance of Mr. and Mrs. George Jenkings, the students are taught many valuable points toward a practical knowledge of art. Art is a definite addition to the more pleasant side of study at the Palm Beach Private School. x. I ii? l A cr: .w If Q 1. ig

The Leaders' Club was founded three years ago when it was felt that the Girls' Athle- tic Association was of no effect. Miss Gloria Bryant, Girls' Athletic instructor, is the faculty advisor. The purpose was to give example to other girls, to give aid to those girls who might need itg and to expand the present athletic program or improve it. The girls were chosen from the seventh to the twelfth grades for qualities of leader- ship, honor, integrity, courtesy, loyalty, initiative, self-sacrifice, and cooperation. There were fifteen charter members chosen. Since then, new members have been chosen by the girls themselves, and the maximum number of members has been kept at fifteen. Each girl has a job within the athletic program. The girls have sponsored many projects: among them have been cookie sales, booths in the bazaars, a student-faculty volley ball game, and, of course, pep rallies. The present members are: Dora Dixon, Nina Seely, Peta Paull, Ann Weldon, Page Lee Hufty, Georgia Riley, Ann Biggs, ,Ioli von Rebhan, Denise Anderson, Spency Love, Lisa Thayer, and Leslie Mitchell.
