RICHARD POND Dick entered Palm Beach Private in the seventh grade. During the years he has been a very able and ardent member of the Dramatics Association and, for a short time, he took Sculpture. His athletic ability is proved by the fact that he has won varsity letters as a starter on all the teams that he tried out for. Dick has been an 'efficient' student during his years at Palm Beach Private. He hopes to enter Duke University in the Fall. i 31

PETA PAULL Peta's years at Palm Beach Private have made her an integral part of the school. Peta has been active in many of the organizations of the school such as dra- matics, glee club, and the Leaders Club of which she is co-president, and captain of the Pelicans. In the fifth grade Peta won the Chapin Cup,which is awarded to the most outstanding student in the Middle School. Peta excels in sports and last year she was awarded the Paul Maddock Field Day Award for her outstanding efforts on Field Day. She has been on all of the major varsity sports teams and has been an invaluable member of the team. Palm Beach Private will miss Peta next yearg she hopes to enter Mills in the fall.

FLORENCE SEELEY Florence Seeley came to Palm Beach Private in january of 1961 as a Junior. That year she was a member of the extracurricular art class. She showed her athletic ability by being on the 'varsity hockey team. Because of her interest and ability in writing, she won honorable mention for the Essay Cup. In her Senior year Florence joined the staff of the Atlantis. She demonstrated her artistic ability by joining the class in oil painting and composition. Florence hopes to attend Sarah Lawrence College.
