NINA SEELY VICE-PRESIDENT Nina was born in Asheville, N. C. and, after attending Gulfstream School in Gulfstream, Florida, she entered the Palm Beach Private School as a sophomore in 1958. Last year Nina was President of the Junior Class as well as Secretary of the Student Council and Secretary-Treasurer of the Leaders Club. She now serves as Vice-President of the Class of '62, the Vice-President ofthe Student Council, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Leader Club, and Vice-President of the Yearbook Staff. Nina has shown her outstanding ability to act by her active participation in every function of the Dramatics Club. In 1959, Nina was awarded the Essay Cup. The following year, she was awarded the Prose and Poetry Cup, honorable mention for her term paper on The Elizabethan Theatre, as well as Amory L. Haskell Awards for both of those years. Nina has played on major varsity teams since her first year, playing as a true Pelican should!

s 3 E i MIKE BURTON WW PRESIDENT Mike came to Palm Beach Private in 1961 as an eleventh grader. He served on the Yearbook staff as Business Manager, and in the Dramatics Association and he received an Amory Haskell Dramatics Award at the end of the year. Mike also played on the varsity basketball and football teams, and as captain of the Pelicans. Mike was awarded the Paul Maddock Field Day Award for his outstanding athletic efforts. This past year Mike has again served in the Dramatics Association and on the Year- book staff. He was chosen for the varsity basketball and tennis teams and is captain of the Pelicans again. Mike was elected as President of the Senior Class last May and as President of the Student Council this October. As a leader Mike has excelled - both in extracurricular activities and as a prominent figure in the student body. The school will feel a great loss without Mike next year - his leadership and friendship have left a definite mark on the school.

ANN WELDON Ann first came to Palm Beach Private School in the ninth grade, 1958. From the start she demonstrated her musical abilities singing in the Glee Club, of which she has been a faithful member all four years, and playing a flute solo in the Christmas Observance. Ann also contributed the mood music in the scene of the Greek and Roman Historians in the 1959 Voices of the Past. In the dramatic field she has also held her own. Ann was a member of the regular dramatics group in her ninth, tenth, and twelfth grade years, as well as one ,of the Idiots in 1959-1960. For the 1960 Voices of the Theatre, Ann graced the stage with her interpretations of 'Tm as Corny as Kansas in August and I'm going to Wash that Man Right out of my Hair . She has had prominent parts in the Spring plays of 1960 and 1962. Following Ann's artistic lines, she was a member of the 1961 Yearbook staff and in the special art class in 1961-1962. Ann, who is a Pelican, has been on the varsity teams in volleyball twice, hockey twice, softball twice, swimming once, and basketball once, she became a member of the Leaders Club in 1960 and was a cheerleader the same year. She has won the Trustee Prizes in Mathematics and in English, both twice,and has more frequently than not been on the honor roll. Ann has been secretary of the present Senior class twice, junior and Senior years, and was Treasurer of the Student Council for 1961' 1962. An accepted and valuable ingredient to the Class of 1962, Ann will long be a part of Palm Beach Private. SECRETARY-TREASURER
