SCHNEIDER Day Trade Coordinator we shctll miss . This school year brings to a close the prolific career of Mrs. Birdie Moore. After graduation from Peabody College, Mrs. Moore taught five years in Winchester, Tennessee. Her teaching experience was then interrupted by her marriage to Judge John L. Moore and all er efforts were devoted to her family of three daughters and one son Upon the death of her husband Mrs Moore returned to e teaching profession here in Florida She spent one year on e faculty of Lake Worth High School and then loined the lan guage department at Palm Beach High Mrs Moores undying in terest in foreign languages has been evident to all of us who have had the opportunity to study in a Latin or Spanish class under her capable instruction This interest was supplemented by Mrs Moores study in Europe During a one years leave of absence she traveled extensively and studied at the University of Madrid Since that time she has shared her enriching experiences with all of us not only in the classroom but also as sponsor of the Tri Language Club and most recently of the Spanish Club MR GEORGE H MCCAMPBELL MRS BIRDIE MOORE Mr McCampbell long a familiar figure and friend to all of us at Palm Beach High is also planning to close his teaching ones of a career well done Mr McCampbell s attachment to Palm Beach High dates back to his graduating class of 29 He was at that time successful in earning three varsity sport letters and in receiving the Rotary football trophy He then attended the University of Florida where he continued his excellence in football Upon graduation he re turned to his alma mater to enter his first teaching position ln his twenty five years of service at Palm Beach High School Mr Mc Campbell has served as coach and athletic director taught physi cal education and social studies and was responsible for organiz ing the Student Council and the Varsity Lettermen s Club ln addr tion to his distinguished teaching years Mr McCampbell has achieved the great honor of having been elected West Palm Beachs youngest mayor We extend our best wishes to him in his retirement h . , . I I8 inter-club council The Inter-Club Council is the governing and coordinating body for all of the clubs and or- ganizations at Palm Beach High. lt consists of two representatives from each club, seven officers, and seven sophomore representatives-at-large. The members meet every two weeks in order to discuss any conflicts arising among the clubs and to set general policies concerning activities. The Project Board committee must approve all proiects of clubs.
