ATHLETICS During our high school years many com- plaints, were centered around the students not having control over activities. Now intramural sports at JC gives us that control. Intramural sports provides the chance for all to coach themselves in the sport of their choice. The intramural and recreation board is made up of students with Coach Bell and Coach Edgerton as supervisors. Bell says once he feels the students understands the process of the board, they would be given complete control. For the students interested in sports, there is a wide variety to choose from. The range of sports includes individual and dual sports, as well as team sports. A few are: tennis, softball, football, archery, scuba, sail- ing and karate. Every term, students pay an activity fee. If the student joins intramural sports, they will be getting most of the fee back, if not more than what they actually paid. Intramural sports are for student benefit if they participate. Besides good exercise, it ' s a lot of fun and a great way to meet your peers.
