To Palm Beach Junior College in September, 1954, came the ambitious class that was destined to be the last to graduate from the college ' s temporary home in Lake Park. Embarking upon a new phase of learning, these incoming fresh- men found Palm Beach Junior College warm, receptive, and encouraging. Lead- ing the aspiring class through the first year of college were President Norman Kreiser, Vice President Katherine Williams, Secretary Barbara Johnson, and Treas- urer Lynn Wagnon. When Kathy, after departing from PBJC, entered matrimony, a new vice president. Tommy Stephenson, was elected. Freshman projects in- cluded the co-sponsoring of the choirs of Palm Beach High School for an assem- bly and the Freshman-Sophomore Banquet at the Coral Beach Club honoring the Class of ' 55. To guide the Sophomores through their reigning year at J. C , as they affec- tionately call their college, the Sophomore Class elected the following officers: Norman Kreiser, president; Bill Brown, vice president; Bonnie Carney, secretary; and Pat Klein, treasurer. Though the Class of ' 56 did not have access to the modern facilities of Palm Beach Junior College ' s future permanent home, each member appreciates having the privilege of being a part of Palm Bach Junior College ' s history.
