The fun began when young, attrac- tive Ethel Simmons fell in love with Rodger Shields, a socialite whom she had met in Chicago. Her parents, Henry and Hattie Simmons, were flab- bergasted to learn that she had spent a whole day alone in a car with a young man! Ethel's father instantly disliked Shields and his suave, debonair manner, He had his own plans for his daughter's future. They did not include Rodger, but Chet Binney, his slovenly business partner. To impress Ethel, Binney and Henry Simmons invented an intimate friendship between Chet and Letty Lythe, a movie idol. Things were really in a state of confusion when Miss Lythe came in town for a personal appearance. ln short order FW Binney was besieged by two irrate lovers. lt ap- peared to Shields and Swift, Letty's manager and finance, that they had lost out in love to Chet. In a showdown scene both Swift and Shields converged on the Simmons home intent on fisti- cuffs. In the scuffle which followed the lights went out, and when the power was restored it was revealed that the jilted males had knocked each other out. Binney lall the while perched in the chandelierl quickly regained his composure and assumed the role of the comqueror, who had felled his foes on the field of battle. A return to normality was soon achieved. lmpressed with Chet's bravery. Ethel dropped Shields and turned to the gallant Mr. Binney. Har- mony was also restored in the romance of Donald Swift and Letty Lythe. Gentlemen of refl nement. OH h h h Trouble

A Caveman's dream. fir aln't nv mold' 'gist lfs a waSl' lodyfl Seaton 77549 Girl Shy, a highly comical play, centered around the lives and loves of Tom Arsdale and Oke Stimson who were college roommates. Although quite girl shy, Tom was determined never to give into the efforts of his aunt and father to marry him off to Sylvia Webster who was the girl of their choice. To add this eternal conflict Tom further complicated the situation by falling in love with Barbara San- ford, who was far from the type preferred by father Arsdale. Roommate, Oke, the-man-of-the-world, at- tempted to help Tom by getting Sylvia interes- ted in the class poet, Alfred Tennyson Mur- gatoyd. To say the least, this well-planned scheme nearly fell through several timesles- pecially during a costume ball when some of the female costumes were interchangedl! How- ever, true love can never be denied, and it was inevitable that Cupid should reign triump- GDT. Tom's father changed his mind about the romance with Barbara Sanford. And, in all, four other romances blossomed forth as never before: Oke Stimson and Peaches Carter, Bir- die LaVerne and Chuck Mayo, and Sylvia Webster and Alfred Tennyson Murgatoyed. Even Tom's Aunt Caroline, found a lover in Dean Marlow ofthe College. To top this all off, incidental humor was provided by As'ma, the funniest wash lady history has ever produced!
