The l956 division numbered l40. And, because of its 40 male voices was perhaps one of the best balanced glee clubs the school has ever had. The highlighting events of this year were the Christmas Vespers and the Spring Choral Festival. For the first time in the school's history, the music department pre- sented a separate all vocal spring progrom. The school's representa- tives in the 1956 Bucks County Chorus were: V. Foster, V. Fabian, M. Bodder, A. Chasar, J. Hershey, H. Beer, R. Schaefer, G. Grim, D. Hance, F. Fogal, E. Kugler, W. Kurz, R. Lowe, and T. Simmons. Also Marcia Bodder, Vaughan Foster, and Alex Chasar participated in the district chorus. 19 . Under the title, Palisades Band Boosters, an energetic group of students and friends ot Palisades carried on numer- ous fund-raising proiects. These included the sale of flags, a men's clothing club, and collecting labels from narne-brand products. if-W 3' SELECT REPERTOIHE March-Call to Victory . t OverturefDublin Holiday A Trumpeters Lullaby A Three Sketches tor Band To A Wild Rose .,...,. However, much was still to be desired as tar as the win and loss column was concerned. lt would seem that Palisades now has a real nucleus as sophomores and freshmen from which to build forthe future. Too, the lack ot rebounding strength which was a problem in past years will be improved through the addi- tion of several promising sophomores. Bartakovits Record-wise the i955 team did not show the form of the previous year's Tri-county league champs. Consisting almost entirely of juniors, sopho- mores, and freshmen, the team showed sparks of brilliance but could not continue the pace to keep up with their more experienced rivals. No doubt they will miss the reliable fielding and hitting of seniors Earl Walker, shortstop and captain, and Bob Shive- ly, centerfielder.
