Wise captains certainly must realize that the voy- ages ahead will be periled by many storms. Yet, staunch sea- men will surely best the gales and tempests, as they come, and from each new experience be wiser still. An appropriate sentiment in their behalf is expressed in these lines from our navy's hymn: O Trinity of Love and Power! Our brethren shield in danger's hourg From rock and tempest, fire and foe, Protect them wheresoe'er they go. 2 DEDICATION We, the class of 1955, dedicate this volume ot the Palisadian to the athletes of our school. Win or lose, all Pirate athletic aggregations have made untolled contributions to the development of Palisades High School. Through them, the entire student body has found a means for expression ot school spirit unequalled in any other way. Too, sports have been an important medium tor bringing the name ot Palisades into the public eye. And, ot even greater significance, the standards of teamwork and fair play, developed under the stress ot athletic competition, will go a long way in molding a responsible citizenry of tomorrow. 3 asf 9 1194? Each member of the family does his best to get Elizabeth's money. They are a very selfish family and depend upon her for everything. On the day Elizabeth is to receive her money, she acquires a case of amnesia in which 20 years of her life are blotted out, and she is a girl of I6 again. During this AUTHOR Charl Armstrong period she is her real self and tells the members of the family and household iust what she thinks of them.
