Ann Wesley, a young play wright, is trying to get inspiration for a new play from one of those trad- itionally haunted houses. On this night, she entertains several unexpected guests. Her first guest to arrive was James Gray, a producer. He liked Ann very much but could never seem to get around to expressing himself. Du:ing the course of the evening two men came in with a kidnapped victim. This was Ken Grant and William Wimple with their victim, Daisy Linden. They figure out a plan to make the other people believe that Ken and Daisy are man and wife. Then each one tells a different story and this makes everyone wonder just what is the truth and it takes a hard pull to get them out of it. Another couple, June Allen and Jack Benton, stop in to get out of the rain. They are engaged to be married. Patsy, a runaway from the circus, lives with Ann and falls in love with Ken. It is said that if the old clock ever struck twelve, someone would die. There was a mysterious trunk that led into a secret room. All this is dis- covered upon investigating some of the mysterious happenings. Mrs. Karley and her husband, George, help along the spooky atmosphere by prying into the safe. But all ends well and the mystery ends. Carl Graham, our stage manager, did a very capable job in producing all the intricate stage effects. His helpers were Wilbur Bevins and Forest Archie. We want to thank Mrs. Lanich for helping to produce nThe Night Owl.n
