graduated, he finally built a creamery on the outskirts of Palestine and is very prosperous. Joe never found the girl of his choice but it looks as if he is still looking. Joe's brother, Carl, who was the general handy-man around Palestine during his high-school days, now lives in Washington D. C. with his wife. The school just about went out of control after Bonesy left, but finally managed to re- gain its control again. nBonesyn always wanted to be a draftsman. He finally got his wish and now has a patent for a machine. Jack Collins went to aviation school and learned all about flying. Then under his directions, a small airport was set up between Longtown and Palestine. Now he's teaching some of the local farmers to fly their private planes and heli- copters so they can spray their farms with insecticide for bugs and they spray their farms with water when 1t's too dry. Because of Jack's shyness, it 1sn't surprising that he isn't married, but then there are rumors of his engagement to Trudy Cross from Battle Creek, Michigan. Florence Garber married a red-head: but wait, doesn't he look like one of the forty-eighters? His facial expression is so familiar, oh, so he's Wilbur Bevins. Florence had said that she wanted a red-head, but Wilbur was a brunette. Madam Zenda Vesta explained that Wilbur had dyed his hair to satlsfy Flossie Cher pet name.D Wilbur went to school for two years after he graduated and spe- cialized in farming. Florence stayed at home and helped her folks while she waited for him. When they married, Mr. Garber gave them his largest farm as a wedding present. Now they are getting along nicely with their cows, chickens, and little Bevins. The children were very cute with long curly hair, but good- ness, don't they have red complexions? Oh, now we remember they must have in- herited Florence's ability to blush. Mr. and Mrs. Bevins' little girl, Eileen, just started to Palestine and she must have inherited Florence's intelligence also, because Miss Adavier is considering promoting her to the second grade. Of course, the reason for this may be that she falls out of her seat when she looks at that cute little boy that sits in front of her. Forest Archie appeared in his same old happy-go-lucky manner, and evidently he's had success also, because he was dressed in finery and was driving a '58 C Buick. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that he'd taken a trip to California to visit his auntg and while on that trip he discovered that he en- joyed traveling, so he became a traveling salesman. He is still singleg but ta- king a peep in his address book, we still found towns such as Dayton, Muncie, and Q Continued on the next page 5

Liberty. Maybe some time in the near future he may take his choice and buy a diamond for one of them. It looks as if Patty Wilt finally did win out and go to a beautieians' school. She now has a beauty parlor in her home in Greenville. Patty is mar- ried and has a little boy named Ronnie Lee. Anna Dill had been her helper, but Anna married and moved back to Palestine. Anna has a baby girl named Sharon. Patty and Anna always said they were going to be old maids and live together and have a dog. Oft times people change their minds and Madam Zenda Vesta said that they really did. Madam Zenda Vesta says that the athlete of the class of '48 is still going strong in athletics. He is playing in the outfield for the New York Giants. It looks as if he met a girl by traveling around the country. She is short and has long black curly hair. It also looks as if they have two small children, a little boy, Johnny and a little girl, Janie. We imagine you have guessed who this is. Yes, it is Bob Shields. Madam Zenda Vesta looks into her crystal ball to see what Jay Mikesell is doing. She says that he traveled around the country after graduation and fin- ally eame back to Palestine. Madam Zenda Vesta sees that Jay met and married a blonde-headed girl on his travels. They bought a farm near Palestine and they are living very happily with their two children, a little boy aged 5 years and a little girl 5 months old. Paul Ayette owns an experimental farm in Missouri. Of course, when he went he took Maggie with him and.they are getting along very nicely. They have a lot of hired hands on the farm so this permits them to take care of the business that goes with their 400 room hotel in St. Louis. Paul is also business mana- ger of several local theaters. They asked Santa Claus for a baby boy, so per- haps he'll bring it for Christmas. As we left the tent, we were very happy to know that our classmates had been successful. We strolled over to the Wilsons' beach umbrella so that Gloria could get her son. Mary promised to go to visit Gloria's home before leaving D for Greenville and we also promised to contact our other classmates soon. After such an interesting afternoon we departed,---each going her own separate
