STUDENT COUNCIL This year the Student Council is composed of the following members: First row: lleft to rightj Helen 1-Owderpsldgefg Senior,, jeanette Marshall, Sopho- more, Betty Miller, Sophomore, Betty Fellers, Sophomore, Helen House, Freshman, Donna Fellers, Freshman, Second row: Qleft to right, Kenny Oliver, Senior, Ray Richards, Senior, jay Mikesell, junior, Paul Ayette, junior. The student council in.Palestine High School was established in April 194-6 with Mr. Harold Bankson as its sponsor. The officers oi the first Student Council assembly were: Fred Clark, Pres., Duane Goens, Vice Pres., Donna Maxine Stephens, Secretary, and Betty jo Ferguson, Treasurer, Three pupils are elected from the Student Body and two additional members from each class. The last few weeks of 1945-46 school term were spent in organizing. The Student Council sponsored a Palestine Day at Coney Island on May 31, 1946. The Student Council - FQ ' hopes that the merit system will promote more school X spirit among the pupils. . f On january 31, a very interesting assembly program ' I was sponsored by the Student Council. They secured a very 0- ,gay capable speaker from Miami University as the main event.
