PALESTINE BAND We have been very proud of our band this year. It has played for all the home ball games, and during the year it has given two con- certs. The senior class was proud to have one of its members, Donna Stephens, as Drum Major. Mr. Bennet, the Band Instructor, gave a great deal of interest and patience in helping our band improve. A.'S and the Christmas program. Mrs. Bryant sometimes divides the chorus into the boysf and girls' glee clubs. DRAMATICS Our junior Class play was entitled Iimmy Be Careful, written by Lillian Mortimer. It was directed by Mr. W. Claire Morrison. The play takes place at the Blake home. It is about Verna Blake who was engaged to the hero, jimmy, but still went with her former boy friend. He finally married her but found she was not all sweetness. Emilie Blake, her younger sister, got jim Fisher the one that wanted land to raise asters. The Blake maid gave much life to the play. It was a three act comedy. The play took place in Arkansas where a hill-billy talent scout finds romance and feuds more plentiful than singers.
