It seemed I had talked only to the boys, so I thought I should not slight the girls any longer, therefore, I proceeded to find out the latest about the girls. Remember Pat Rex- rode--well. she was the first one I cornered and to my surprise she informed me that she was just a plainbookkeeperfor one of the Army Captains at Wright Field. I always knew she would end up doing accounting or something of the sort. Marcella Kelley astounded me by telling me that she was using her time in operating a beauty shoppe at Covington. Also, I should not forget that her three-year old daughter was of great help to her. She told me her husband's name but I had never had the honor of meeting him. I looked over at the big mirror and who should be standing there but Betsy Ferguson. Yes, you have guessed it, there she stood combing her hair. Her left hand showed up re- markably well as there was the largest diamond solitaire I have ever seen and the wedding ring was overflowing with diamonds. I didn't even have to ask her who the lucky fellow was as I remembered the pretty red sweater she used to wear at P. H. S. I was pleased to hear that she was living on a farm keeping house for her husband and her twins Ca boy and a girlj. I thought to myself how charming a housewife she would make. By this time, the music was going full swing and a very good piece was playing. Talking about hubba-hubba girls of 1946, there were Beverly and Donna Mae swinging out as they used to do at Palestine. After they had completed their dancing exhibition, they came over to talk. Guess what, Donna Mae finally settled down to Noel Marshall, after breaking many hearts. Can you imagine, she has three little girls and each of them are majorettes for the school band. About this time, Beverly said she thought Donna Mae had talked enough, and she must tell me about her charming husband, Debby. She was one of the lucky Seniors who was a june bride of 1946. Beverly told me of her two boys, one with blond hair and blue eyes and the other with black hair and brown eyes. The boys help with the work on their ZOO-acre farm. Talking about june weddings, Betty Bruner reminded me of her being the first of our class to tie the knot. Yes, Lester and she were married the night before graduation and as the most of the class seem to follow, they are farmers too. They have only one child and he looks like Betty. Probably we should have made our class motto The prospective farmers of 1946. Gloria, having married George Liette , was telling me how she and George had kept up the old I iette homestead and now they are living there. And you would never guess who their closest neighbor is, yes, Mary Ayette is living close by and she is just as athletic as ever. She has been teaching girls' physical education at the Palestine High School. She has a very sweet modern home and most of the lady teachers of P. H. S. room there. Ioan jones informed me that she had a very short distance to come as she also lives in Cincinnati. Phe has been a social worker in the town and she told me she had attended most of the boxing bouts. I was glad to hear that some of the class members had followed me. I just wonder though, if she wasn't a little interested in my manager as he has never married and Ioan didn't talk long as Richard was sitting on the divan waiting to talk to her. I noticed Evelyn F. was busy talking to Daniel and I wondered what all the interest was about. And who's name did you think I heard mentioned? None other than Timid. Of course we all knew who that was and Evelyn told me she still thought Tim to be pretty nice. She said, I haven't married, yet, Don, maybe there is still a chance.
