WHO'S James Saxton, apopular and versatile Junior, appears in the Who's Who section for the first time. As a three year letterman, Jamesis very active in sports. This capable athlete broke the Dogwood Relay record for the broad-jump and represented our school inthe State Track Meet. James's favorite subjects are geometry and his- tory. He plans to Study engineering at A.8zM. or Texas Tech. A pretty and outstanding Junior is Marion Boyd, a three-year member of Who's Who. She is an active member of the Student Council, Junior Editor of the Arc Light, secretary of the Junior Historians, and vice-president of her class. AlthoughMarionhasparticipatedinmany extra-curricular activities, she reserved most of her energy for her activities as Cheerleader. As such, she has successfully contributed her part in creating a whole some and lasting school spirit. Her ambition is to become a secretary and she plans to study business administration at S. M. U. One of the most active boys in P.H.S. this year has beenOmar Logan, an honor student and photographer of the yearbook staff. He is an active member of the Junior Historians and the Choral Class. Photography and amateur radio are his Hobbies, and math and science, his fav- orite subjects. Omar plans to attend Texas Tech where he will study electrical engineering.

WHO A studious and outstanding Sen- ior is Bennie Liles, Valedictorian of his class. He has been an active member of P.H.S. band and has sup- ported the following clubs: F. T. A., Junior Historians, Chemistry Club, and Band Club. Bennie also served as a reporter on the Chatter Staff. llis favorite pastime activity is play- ing and listening to good music and he named physics and Latin as his favorite subjects. WHO Paul Hable is a courteous, dependable, and studious member of the Sophomore Class. H is active in tennis and basketball and his favor ite subject is English. Paul also serves as a reporter on the Chatter Staff. Although his choice of a college is indefinite, he plans to study engineering. Patricia Griffith, one of the Sophomore se lectees for Who's Who, is one of the most ac tive and attractive students of P.ll. S. Pat has servedwell for two yearson the Arc Light Staff As a Freshman she was elected as Miss Cour tesy. She is an active member of Junior His torians, vice -president ofthe Library Club, and secretary of her class. Her hobbies are reading and playing the piano, and she plans to study science at Baylor. Horace David Smith, the only Freshman selectee for Who's Who, is a promising student leader. This quality of leadership has afforded him the opportunity to serve his fellow students as Class president and as Student Council rep- resentative. Horace is an all-around person. He participates in various sports such as foot- ball, basketball, and tennis. In both his favor- ite subjects, science and algebra, he has a high scholastic standing.
