The Senior Coronation committe, pictured at work above, is selected by the director of the Coronation. If we apply the five journalistic W's , we will be able to get a. clear picture of the Coronation Committee. First, who is the committee? It is a representative group from the Senior class and is selected with the idea that each student chosen has a definite contribution to make. Second, What are the duties of the committee? This commitee does much of the actual work on the Coronation but very little of the preliminary planning. Third, when does this committee do most of its work? Since the Coronation comes the second Friday in May of each year, the committee is busiest during the first two weeks in May than at any other time. Fourth, where does the theme, which the committee executes, originate? The theme for the show is presented to the committee by the director of the Coronation who gets ideas from many sources. The theme for this year's program came as the result of the director's hearing a Fred Waring arrangement of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star . This number started the thought processes that brought about Once Upon a Time. Nursery rhymes to fairy tales, fairy tales to long, long ago, to once upon a time. Fifth, why is there a Senior Coronation committee? The main reason for having this committee is that it is easier to work with a small group than with an entire class. Summing it all up, the Senior Coronation Committee acts as the voice of the Senior Class. It is hoped that this year's show will be one that will be remembered with pride by the class of 1948 who present the following pictures in preview.
